PALM SUNDAY– MARCH 28, 2021 ENFLAME LENTEN REFLECTION

In this final episode, Archbishop Naumann reflects upon Mark’s and John’s account of what he calls “the Heart of the Gospel”, the Passion Narratives. The Archbishop reveals how meditating upon these stories is central to being a disciple of Jesus because his Passion reveals the depth of God’s love for us. This series closes with an exhortation to reflect upon and share the stories of God’s grace in our lives.

5TH SUNDAY OF LENT – MARCH 21, 2021 ENFLAME LENTEN REFLECTION

Archbishop Naumann reflects upon Jesus raising his friend Lazarus from the dead and what that teaches us about his friendship with us. Samantha shares how she had to learn that God loves her personally and how that friendship with God even in trials brings joy.

4TH SUNDAY OF LENT – LAETARE SUNDAY – MARCH 14, 2021 ENFLAME LENTEN REFLECTION

Archbishop Naumann reflects upon John’s account of Jesus healing a blind man on the Sabbath and explores the eyes-wide-shut blindness of pride. He also debunks the myth that misfortune is a tell-tale sign of personal sin and how tragedy is transformed by God’s love. Marilyn shares her story ups and downs and how her friendship with Jesus gets her through. Also Catholic disciples are like makeup for the Church.

3RD SUNDAY OF LENT – MARCH 7, 2021 ENFLAME LENTEN REFLECTION

Archbishop Naumann reflects upon John’s account of the Woman at the Well and what is it for which we thirst. Kimberly shares how the suffering of Jesus helps her to know she has a compassionate friend who gets her through her troubles no matter what, and how you don’t have to live loud to proclaim the Gospel.

2ND SUNDAY OF LENT – FEBRUARY 28, 2021 ENFLAME LENTEN REFLECTION

Archbishop Naumann reflects upon Mark’s account of the Transfiguration and contrasts it with the 1st reading of Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son Isaac. Andrew shares how confession brought him peace and reflects on the freedom that comes from being counter-cultural as a disciple of Jesus. Both share some practical advice on how to pray.

1ST SUNDAY OF LENT – FEBRUARY 21, 2021 ENFLAME LENTEN REFLECTION

Archbishop Naumann reflects upon Mark’s account of Jesus’s temptation in the desert and how God brings joy even to the most dire times of our life. Chris shares what happened when he started doing more than just externally practicing his Faith, but opened his heart to personal relationship with Jesus through daily, meditative prayer.

ASH WEDNESDAY – FEBRUARY 17, 2021 ENFLAME LENTEN REFLECTION

Archbishop Naumann reflects upon the Gospel for Ash Wednesday and the significance of LENT.  Andrea gives a witness talk on how God’s consolation to her during a family tragedy brought her into greater friendship with the Lord.
