30 MINUTES CLOSER TO MISSIONARY DISCIPLESHIP
PULLING IT TOGETHER:
You know enough to be dangerous. Please pray a lot. Be closely listening through prayer and reading scripture, especially Mathew, Mark, Luke and John. Regularly engage in Mass and make thoughtful Confessions. Nurture your interior life. Love and be present to those in front of you. Build trust. Be patient. Remember, There are many important things that a good Catholic should pay attention to, but these two instructions of Jesus are uniquely important.
Jesus was asked, “Rabbi, what the greatest commandment?” He said.
- Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength.
- Love your neighbor as yourself
We were actually told by Jesus in the great commission to “Go make disciples of every nation baptizing them in the name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit.”
People are NOT projects.
Evangelization and discipleship are rarely served by winning arguments.
The Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit are the fuel and the source of wisdom and direction in this process. We are tapping into God’s desire and mission. Our human pride in our skill, knowledge and status are roadblocks sharing the Gospel. Our reliance on God for the Who, How and When are critical. Divine love comes from God.
Let us pray that each breath that we are graced with serves to build the kingdom of God through humble service to God and his people
